Child Passenger Safety

Tips for Using Child Safety Seats:

• Learn more about car seats before you shop. Shopping guides rating car seat "ease of use" can be found at http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/  and www.aap.orq/familv/carseatquide.htm.
• If you are an expectant parent, be sure to purchase a car seat and practice using it before the baby is born!

To do its job, a child safety seat must be held tightly against the vehicle seat back. If you cannot attach the seat tightly, call Safe Kids York County at 1-888-232-SAFE (7233) to schedule a FREE appointment to have a certified child passenger safety specialist assist you in the correct installation and use of your child's safety seat.
